General Guidance

  • Nomination qualifying period is between Saturday 1 August 2018 to Wednesday 31 July 2019
  • Deadline for entries is Wednesday 31 July 2019
  • No late entries will be accepted
  • Each section must be completed for a candidate to be considered for the award
  • Submissions must be between 150 and 500 words otherwise your entry will not be accepted
  • Nominations submitted on any other form will not be accepted
  • All nominations must be approved and signed off by your head of department or their deputy before submitting
  • The judges this year will be representatives from the Superintendents’ Association, Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner, Police Federation, HR, UNISON and the Chief Constable
  • The shortlisted will be announced on Friday 6 September 2019

This award is for outstanding problem-solving skills that improve and benefit the communities of Norfolk or the Force internally.

  • How was the problem identified and how did you go about solving it?
  • What were the benefits to the communities of Norfolk or Norfolk Constabulary?
  • How did the results of dealing with the problem support the Force’s policing SPIRIT?
